Katie R. Bell

13TH SOUTHERN AREA DIRECTOR - 1991-1995

Katie R. Bell served as the 13th Southern Area Director from 1991-1995 and focused on the Black Family.   Her theme of Cherishing the Past, Cultivating the Present, Creating the Future through a Better Quality of Life and A Supportive Environment focused on ensuring that Links were informed and worked cohesively.  She updated Area and Chapter governing documents and increased communications.  Her programs focused on health, the Black family and self-esteem.  She implemented community-based programs, including Teddies for Tots month.  More than 1,000 teddy bears were distributed to local community hospitals and police departments.
